We employ around 100 people at our location in Rotzloch, Stansstad.

The modern machine park includes around 35 hydraulic excavators, four pavers in three different sizes and rollers of all types and sizes. The logistics department schedules five trucks with different bodies such as roll-off troughs, tipping bridges and tractors.

Our workshop has various storage halls and a spacious warehouse. We also refine inert building materials such as demolished concrete and paving into recycled gravel.

The SPAG workshop and metalworking shop with its seven employees offers competent solutions for our company and many third-party companies.

SPAG Schnyder, Plüss AG attaches great importance to training apprentices in construction trades. We train apprentices as road builders and construction machinery mechanics and support employees in their professional development.

Our story

From Rotzloch to today's SPAG.

  1. 1927

    Louis Schnyder von Wartensee-von Rotz, Hermann Plüss-Steffen, Othmar Vokinger-Odermatt and Emil Pfenniger-Imbach found the general partnership Schnyder, Plüss & Cie, Hergiswil NW.

  2. 1931

    The company acquires the factory site of the Rozloch cement factories and is converted into a stock corporation with its headquarters in Rozloch.

  3. 1934

    Procurement of the first Ammann surface preparation machine with an output of 7 tons per hour.

  4. 1958

    Installation of the second Wibau processing plant with an output of 40 tons per hour.

  5. 1977

    The specialist civil engineering department is founded.

  6. 1980

    Commissioning of a fully automatic pavement preparation with an output of 150 tons per hour and expansion to include the hydraulic engineering department.

  7. 1984

    Foundation of the BRZ, covering and recycling center, with partners and facilities in Rozloch and Horw.

  8. 1994

    Move into new office space at Werkhofstrasse 18 in Lucerne.

  9. 1996

    New construction of the BRZ plant in Horw and development of the SQS certificate according to ISO 9001.

  10. 2006

    The hydraulic engineering and foundation engineering divisions are sold; Road construction, civil engineering and renovations are integrated into one holding company.

  11. 2007

    Administration, construction management and management move from Lucerne to Stansstad in Rotzloch.

  12. 2012

    Infra-Republic was launched as a social commitment with corporate volunteering for learners.

  13. 2013

    The training offering is being expanded; The first apprentice starts in the workshop as a construction machinery mechanic.

  14. 2016

    Walter Rohrer and Roger Bucher are taking over responsibility from Jörg Lütolf as part of the expansion of the holding company.

  15. 2017

    SPAG Schnyder, Plüss AG celebrates its 90th birthday on the Stanserhorn.
