Littau Bahnhof – Successful project completion

The Littau train station was renovated over the course of around two years by the ARGE Rhomberg Sersa · Gebr. Brun · SPAG Schnyder, Plüss AG and has now been successfully completed. The construction period stretched from January 2024 to February 2026.

As part of the project, the following services, among others, were realized during ongoing railway operations:

• New construction of two platforms, each 220 m long

• Geologically challenging slope cutting with bored piles, temporary slope protection and retaining wall

• Construction of a new railway technology building

• Renewal of the level crossing

• Over 2,000 m of drainage pipes including two retention systems

• Over 3,500 m of service lines

• Approx. 1,600 t of asphalt pavement

• Around 1,000 m³ of concrete

A project of this magnitude is only possible thanks to close cooperation, a high level of expertise and the great commitment of everyone involved.
